Self check-in outside of business hours is pre-arranged in our messaging with you.
Early arrivals and late departures may be possible based upon availability and may incur an additional fee.
RESERVATIONS
Can be made on-line or by contacting our staff. We recommend reaching out if you have questions or specific needs for your stay. Your booking will require an executed short-term rental agreement and valid mailing address. Please be prepared to present a valid driver’s license upon check-in.
Must be 21 years of age to book a reservation.
PAYMENT
51% of your total reservation cost will be charged upon booking. The remainder will be charged to the card on file 30 days prior to your check-in date.

Damage charge
Damage charge for broken items: varies based on actual cost of item and labor to replace. Please note, specific units may have a non-refundable damage waiver included.

One vehicle is complimentary.
Additional parking is $20 per vehicle, limited to space availability
Lost & Found Shipping
Actual cost plus $15 fee per mailing
NO SHOWS & EARLY DEPARTURE
Guests who do not arrive by 12:00a.m. on the day following their scheduled check-in, without prior communication with a team member, will be considered no-shows. No-shows are treated as cancellations and are subject to our cancellation policy.
Early departures are treated as cancellations and are subject to our cancellation policies. Departures before or after check in due to failure to comply with our policies are also treated as cancellations.
CANCELLATION
Guests may cancel their reservation free of charge until 4:00pm, 30 days prior to their scheduled check-in date. If a cancellation occurs after 4:00pm on the 30th day before check-in, the total cost of the reservation will be charged. The cancellation deadline is determined based on the time zone in which the property is located, which is Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Hotel Accessibility
Our buildings are historic homes. All units require some climbing of stairs to access.
NOISE RESTRICTIONS
Casual enjoyment of the porches and amenities are encouraged as this activity is complimentary to the surrounds and our brand, the Charlestonian. Therefore, to be clear, no parties or partying.
No noise and/or music after 9PM. Any noise and/or music prior to 9PM must not be readily discernible to neighbors or guests so as to maintain livability in the house and the neighborhood. Porches are for the relaxation, conversation, and quiet enjoyment of all guests; therefore, please refrain from any loud noise or loud conversation.
CLIMATE CONTROL
The Nest HVAC thermostats must be kept withing 69-76 degrees at all times. Adjustment to your comfort level is advised within this reasonable range in temperature.
INCLEMENT WEATHER/STORM POLICY
Your reservation is our commitment to you and your commitment to us as a family-owned property. Please understand that we cannot be responsible for inclement weather or other causes for delays and cancellations at your point of origin or the locations you may connect through when traveling to visit us. Your reservation will only be cancelled in the event of a government-issued mandatory evacuation order whereupon you will receive a credit lasting one year towards a future stay. If a mandatory evacuation is issued by State or Local authorities for the area in which the Property is located, guests agree to comply with the evacuation order in a safe and expeditious manner. We thank you for your understanding!
LARGE GROUPS
Our property can accommodate large groups. Several of our suites can be booked together to allow guests to stay in the same vicinity. It is best to call and speak with our staff to see how we can help you tailor your stay.
Please note:
No bachelor or bachelorette parties are allowed unless approved by host in writing in advance. Should this rule be violated, the reservation will be cancelled.
ACCESSIBILITY
Our buildings are historic homes. All units require a minimum of six stair steps to access.
PARKING
Parking is available across the street, in the rear lot at 73 Cannon St. Please secure your vehicle and remove valuable items. Please note to avoid towing: all guests must have a Charlestonian parking pass visible in the dashboard at all times during their stay.
ELECTRICAL VEHICLE CHARGER
We do have an electrical vehicle charger located behind the 68 building. You are welcome to use it for your charging needs. It is best utilized overnight as it provides a slow charge.
BABY GEAR
Pack-n-plays, toddler beds and child cots are available upon request. Sound machines, high-chairs and infant toys can also be provided, if desired. Should you need additional supplies, you may contact our partner, Baby’s Away, to make arrangements for specific gear. We recommend reaching out to us ahead of time so we can look out for the delivery. Please note, standard-sized cribs will not fit in many units.
PETS
No pets are allowed. If pets are discovered at the Property, Owner has the right to terminate the Agreement and all monies will be forfeited to the Owner. Additional charges for cleaning fee and/or damage will apply if violated. Emotional support animals are specifically prohibited.
SMOKE FREE FACILITY
The premises of the Charlestonian is all smoke-free. Should this rule be violated, Owner has the right to immediately terminate the Agreement and all monies will be forfeited to Owner. Additionally, if two or more staff members verify the smell of smoke in your unit, you will be charged a fee for remediation and lost room revenue.
LOST & FOUND
We are not responsible for any personal belongings of the guests that may become lost, stolen, damaged or left behind at the Property.
DAMAGE & LOSS
Guest agrees to immediate report to Owner any and all damages to the Property. Guest agrees to be responsible, at the guest’s sole cost and expense, for any damages caused by the guests including, but not limited to damaged property, missing accessories, and missing or damaged linens. A non-refundable damage waiver fee or damage insurance may be included in the total payment charges listed on the rental agreement for specific units on property. Upon expiration of the Term of the Agreement, if Owner finds damage to the Property in excess of the Property Damage coverage or Security Deposit listed in the rental agreement, Owner shall send an invoice to the guest and guest agrees to remit the payment amount contained on the invoice within 30 days of receipt of such invoice.
PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
Professional photography for guests is discouraged as this has proven to be disruptive to other guests’ enjoyment of the property and always commands exclusive use of the welcoming porches though which all enter the building. Onsite photographers must be approved by staff in writing, in advance.
